TRIVAN

Trivan was envisioned and formed in 2018 by Vanja Šantak and Ivan Bertović together with a longtime school friend on drums. Ivan played bass while Vanja handled guitars and vocals. The project's early momentum was brought to a temporary halt by the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing the members to reconsider their direction and ambitions.

Following the pandemic, Vanja introduced Tomislav Žiljak, formerly of Darkendome, as Trivan's lead vocalist. When the original drummer stepped away to focus on family and professional life, Žiljak recommended his former Darkendome bandmate Robert Vlašić. With Vlašić behind the drums, the band regained momentum and stability.

Marin Buljan joined as rhythm guitarist in 2025, giving the music a fuller and heavier foundation while allowing Vanja greater freedom to focus on lead guitar. The current sound explores existential crisis, human suffering and spiritual defiance through technically demanding arrangements and lyrics designed to provoke both emotion and thought.

Trivan's long-term vision reaches beyond local borders: to complete a full-length album centred on struggle, transcendence and inner transformation, build a direct connection with listeners and leave an unmistakable mark on the evolution of extreme metal.
